Day #8 The Assembly Hair
On the eighth day of Christmas Colour we’ve got Matt Clements’ milky-white maid sporting a technically extravagant array of colour. No wonder he’s been Schwarzkopf Hair Expo Australian and NZ Colour Technician Of The Year three years in a row. Read here below how he did this look.
This super textured crop has many changes in length. I wanted the colour to emphasise the feeling of freedom and movement the cut has, but retain its softness. The global base colour is a deep crimson red. I then feathered out from the root area, a garnet red and also a titian red/copper in a back and forth alternating ‘shoe shine’ technique to slightly merge the two colours, again to show movement between the tones and lengths when light falls over the hair. For the longer lengths, I finely weaved through a mixture of four colours with a ‘less is more’ attitude to cause slight separation and allow the hair to be balanced and still have movement with little effort. Used: 1) pastel red 2) strawberry pink 3) couple of lime green accents 4) topaz gold orange.
